Several workshops are being designed to complement the plenary sessions and will address many clinical aspects in the management of the morbidly obese patient. Faculty will lead sessions targeted to specific areas of interest to the primary care provider.
Who Should Attend
Obesity affects one in four individuals in the Northwest. Bariatric surgery is the most effective means of
sustained weight loss, but the physiologic and emotional impact on patients can be challenging. This conference will provide a forum for primary care physicians, surgeons and other healthcare providers to come together for an integrated learning experience. In addition to plenary sessions, experts will lead smaller breakout sessions targeted to specific areas of interest to the primary care provider. A panel of bariatric patients will allow providers to hear first-hand the triumphs and challenges these patients experience.
