Medical and Dental Insurance
- Hospital and medical insurance coverage for enrolled employees and family members. Vision insurance covering services and supplies.
- Dental coverage for enrolled employees and family members.
- Pharmacy benefit offering $9 co-pays or 20 percent co-pays, whichever is greater for a 34-day supply, for prescriptions filled at St. Charles Bend pharmacy. Maximum out-of-pocket cost is $50 per prescription. We offer 10/20/40 tiered co-pays at outside pharmacies. A mail order option is also available, depending on plan.
- Medical, dental and vision insurance plans are available on the first day of the month following regular full or part time employment and is paid for by the hospital and employee.
Flex Plan
- Section 125 Flex Plan for employees to pay childcare, insurance premiums and health care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Air Life
- Insurance for our Air Life service secondary to any group health or individual health policy for medically necessary transportation service to the hospital. Premium can be paid with pretax dollars or hospital will pay premium after one year in a regular full-time position.
Other Insurance
- Life insurance coverage for enrolled employees equal to current annual salary, available after 90 days in regular full or part time position. Supplemental life insurance available for purchase by employee.
- Accidental death and dismemberment coverage for full amount for loss of life for enrolled employees and for half of full amount for dismemberment, available after 90 days in regular full or part time position.
- Long-term disability coverage provides income replacement after 90 days, up to 60 percent of base wages for enrolled employees, available after 90 days in full- or part-time position. Supplemental long-term disability insurance available for purchase by employee.
- Malpractice insurance coverage for employees while performing work duties.
- Liability insurance coverage for non-willful damage to patient property or accidental incidents to patients.
Hospital Discount
- A 50 percent discount on St. Charles hospital charges with a comparable insurance. A 15 percent discount if there is no comparable insurance. Discount is available after 90 days employment.
Education
- Continuing in-service education classes available when employed. Classes are posted on bulletin board and on CaregiverNet.
- Tuition reimbursement of approved expenses at an accredited school or university for classes relevant to employee’s job.
Retirement
- 403 (b) Retirement Program available when employed. Employees may contribute immediately. After one year of regular full or part time employment, the hospital will match up to 6 percent of employee’s gross wages. On-call employees may contribute without match.
Time Off
- Employees accrue Earned Time Off for illness, vacation and six major holidays according to number of hours worked when employed in a regular full or part time position. Time earned:
1 to 3 years…....24 days per year
4 to 9 years…….29 days per year
10+ years……….36 days per year
- Extended-Illness Bank (EIB) allows employees to accrue time off according to number of days worked (5 days per year). Available after 90 days of employment and may be accessed after being ill 24 scheduled hours.
- Bereavement leave allows three consecutive days due to the death of immediate family member and one day for other family members for regular full or part time employees.
- Jury duty leave with full day’s wages, if scheduled to work, for regular full or part time employees.
Wellness Programs
- Annual lab tests.
- Employee Assistance Program allows three visits/assessments for employee and immediate family members per year.
- Fitness room available at St. Charles Bend.
