Caregivers use the "Caring Model" for bedside care, which is centered on the shared role of caregivers and patients in determining what is important and how it will be accomplished. Our relationship-centered approach to management emphasizes collaboration and coaching. We give caregivers the tools to develop clinical and interpersonal skills throughout their careers at CHC. A Sophisticated Medical Center

St. Charles Bend offers virtually all the services of a large metropolitan medical center, while maintaining the personalized care of a smaller community hospital. With 250 physicians on the active medical staff, the hospital offers 40 specialties and subspecialties including; comprehensive cancer care, open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology, total joint replacements, complex eye surgery and pediatric care. We have received national recognition for orthopedics, rehabilitation, patient satisfaction, end-of-life care, maternity services and patient-focused care.

St. Charles Bend is the regional referral center for more than 240,000 people living in a 32,000 square mile area of Central and Eastern Oregon. We serve patients from as far away as John Day and Lakeview.
