A Visitor's Welcome
As a family member or friend of a St. Charles patient, your healing companionship is invaluable to the recovery process. The St. Charles team will do our best to make you feel welcome. Through our online gift shop and greeting card services, we can even help you share your cheer and support, even when circumstances prevent you from being with your loved one in person.
Visiting Hours
Generally, visiting times are as follows:
- Adults in a patient's immediate family or clergy may visit any time a patient wishes.
- Children may visit when they are healthy and accompanied by an adult.
- Friends and other relatives may visit during posted visiting hours set by each department.
Pediatrics and General Care Visiting Hours
Daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Family Birthing Center Visiting Hours
Immediate family members may visit 24 hours a day. Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No visitors 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Intensive Care Unit Visiting Hours
Visitors are restricted to family members and significant others; limited visiting hours are dependent on patient condition.
No Visiting From: 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. -1 p.m. to 3 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Shopping at the St. Charles Gift Store
Whether you are with us on-site or online, the St. Charles Gift Store offers boutique experience for families and guests. Specialty items include:
Fragrances for men and women
Décor for home and office
Games, puzzles, and books
Fresh cut florals, baskets, and "garden-pots" from our Flower Kiosk, located in the main lobby, just outside the Gift Store
Gift Store Hours of Operation:
The on-site Gift Store located just off the main lobby is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Of course, you may shop online at any time you like! Online purchases made by 4 p.m. are guaranteed next-day delivery within the St. Charles hospital.
Meals and Coffee Service
We offer two on-site dining options - the Cascades Café and the Corner Deli.
In upcoming months, we look forward to inviting family and friends the convenience of ordering, along with St. Charles patients from the room service menu.
Complimentary Coffee and Tea Service is available at the Family Hospitality Centers located throughout the hospital.
Lodging and Accommodations
We have partnered up with area businesses and organizations to provide affordable, comfortable lodging options for our out-of-town guests.
Getting Out and About the City of Bend
City maps are available at the concierge center at the main entrance of the hospital. The City of Bend's public bus services can keep you connected to all parts of our city. Route No. 5 (Wells Acres) makes frequent stops at St. Charles. For more information call Bend Area Transit at (541) 322-5870.
