Support & Empowerment Programs
St. Charles Cancer Care has a variety of support and empowerment programs for cancer patients and their caregivers. We focus on emotional support, practical advice and a sense of community, so that patients and their caregivers feel more informed, confident and encouraged throughout their cancer experience. All programs listed below are provided at no cost.
- Cancer "Hope Network" Volunteer Program - One-on-one support from a trained volunteer who has had a similar cancer experience. For patients and caregivers.
- DEFEAT Cancer - Monthly empowerment program for patients and caregivers that focuses on nutrition, physical activity, education and inspiration.
- The Support Sisters Program - One-on-one emotional support and guidance for breast cancer patients from a trained breast cancer survivor.
- Spiritual Care - Chaplains are available for prayer, blessings, rituals, crisis support, a caring, listening presence, or to connect patients and their families with faith groups.
- Support Groups & Communities - Peer-to-peer support that gives individuals a chance to share with others and create a healing community. Listed are support groups sponsored by St. Charles Cancer Care, as well as community led programs.
