Emergency Department
An Advanced Trauma Center
The Emergency Department at St. Charles Bend offers a high level of trauma care for injured and sick patients. We are certified as a Level II Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma - the highest level a non-university affiliated emergency department can attain. St. Charles Bend is one of only four Level II Trauma Centers in the state and the only one on the east side of the Cascades.
The Emergency Department offers 32 licensed beds and features state-of-the-art medical technology and advanced treatment methods to ensure the best possible care for our patients. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Care for All
The Emergency Department follows the rules set by Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTLA). Every patient to the Emergency Department will be given a medical examination and the patient's condition will be stabilized regardless of ability to pay.
