Home Health Care Therapy Services

Physical and Occupational Therapy

Our Physical and Occupational Therapists help patients age in place at home or rehabilitate from injury or disease through a personalized, comprehensive in-home treatment program. Caregivers work closely with referring physicians to deliver a prescribed plan of care while allowing patients to remain independent in their own home as they work towards improved functionality. Patients are educated in proper therapeutic techniques and referrals are provided to additional outpatient and specialty services if necessary.

Our Physical Therapy services include:

 

Personal evaluations and treatment after surgery, accidents and illnesses

Maximizing the patient's mobility and functional independence

A unique program in Fall Assessment for risk level and prevention

Strengthening programs

Balance training

Injury prevention

Family/caregiver training

 

Our Occupational Therapy services include:

  • Therapy and lifestyle programs for post stroke, cardiac, cancer and other disease-related conditions
  • A plan of care to improve Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL)* within the home
  • Recommendations for adaptive and assistive devices and equipment
  • Family/Caregiver training
  • A unique program in Fall Assessment for risk level and prevention
  • Comprehensive assessment of needs and functional ability at home
  • Home safety evaluation
  • Assistance with cognitive issues, memory, problem solving, judgment, etc.

*Instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) are activities related to independent living and include preparing meals, managing money, shopping for groceries or personal items, performing light or heavy housework and using a telephone. Speech and Language Therapy

Speech and Language Therapy assists patients with communication and swallowing disorders to improve their functional independence. Our speech and language therapy services include:

  • Diagnosis and therapy for speech-related issues
  • Maximizing a patient's functional independence in communicating and swallowing
  • Increasing the patient's and caregiver's knowledge of speech, language and swallowing disorders, and of appropriate treatment processes
  • Assistance with cognitive issues, memory, problem solving, judgment, etc.

Foot Clinics

Our foot clinics provide foot care for patients in Bend and Redmond as well as specialty foot care for diabetics provided by a registered nurse.
Foot clinics offered at the St. Charles Home Health Services Bend and Redmond office include:

  • Soaking
  • Filing and trimming of nails
  • Foot massage

Fees: Non Diabetic $20 - Diabetic $25
