Respiratory Care Staff

More Efficient. Better Care.

With many years of combined experience, our staff includes intensivist physicians and physician assistants that specialize in pulmonary medicine and registered or certified respiratory therapists. We work closely with other physicians, nurses, speech and physical therapists, hospitalists and your primary care physician for a multidisciplined, highly integrated plan of care.

Our staff provides better care more efficiently because each therapist follows a unique approach using proven respiratory therapy protocols. This in-depth question and answer point score evaluation helps us to determine your ideal plan of care and intensity of treatment. Developed by a team of physicians and therapists, these protocols enable us to micro-adjust every course of action, which speeds the most accurate treatment for each patient’s unique condition.

Every member of our respiratory therapy team holds national certification/registration and is licensed by the State of Oregon as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. In addition, each therapist must hold Level 1 or Level 2 respiratory therapy certification defined as:

  • Level 1: a certified respiratory therapist or a registered respiratory therapist.
  • Level 2: a registered respiratory therapist with more training to achieve Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification and special training to be a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP).

Some of the caregivers on our team are also certified as asthma educators and hold Neonatal Provider Specialist (NPS) credentials.
