St. Charles Foundation donors support exceptional cancer care services including prevention, treatment, research, equipment purchases and patient support services. A host of community survivorship programs are funded exclusively with donor support. St. Charles Foundation and the Heart Institute of the Cascade partner to provide support to a comprehensive program of heart education, screenings, research and clinical treatment so that people in our region will live long and vital lives.
Contributors support comprehensive family centered care in our Family Birthing Centers, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Unit, and Project Stepping Stones: prenatal education and family health support programs for uninsured, low-income women to promote baby health.
Caregiver and Medical Education:
Providing a variety of scholarships for Cascade Healthcare Community nurses and continuing education and training of non-nursing caregivers continues to be a Foundation priority. Opportunities include the Mary Ann Thomas-Hoosier Scholarship for nurses who are enrolled in advanced degree programs, training for Certified Nursing Assistatants to obtain Level 2 certification, support of medical student rotations, advanced spiritual care studies and much more.
