Providing compassionate, customized care to our patients is more than our job; it is our profound privilege. By respecting individual beliefs, our caregivers embrace the whole person and treat patients as they would their own family—because often they are.

Expanding access to care and improving our processes are two of my biggest goals for the coming years—and we’re already off to a fantastic start. Last year, we upgraded our computer network, improved our outpatient registration process, and adopted new programs to improve patient safety. We also received the 2009 Rural Hospital Quality Leader award from the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. In addition, we are currently in the process of expanding our emergency department.

I am honored to be a part of the Mountain View Hospital family and a member of this diverse community. Our country grew out of rural roots and I see those core values all around me in the respectful, warm-hearted, loyal people I’m proud to call patients, friends, and neighbors.
