Dr. Leo Savage and Dr. Leland "Bud" Beamer on Board in the ED
It’s important that people who are sick, hurt and often frightened have the best care possible. That’s why we’ve brought Dr. Leo Savage and Dr. Leland “Bud” Beamer on board in the emergency room. As local residents, Dr. Savage and Dr. Beamer are fully committed to the community—and to offering quality, compassionate care to every patient they treat. They join an onsite emergency team dedicated to providing world-class critical care.
Mountain View’s Emergency Department is equipped to resuscitate and stabilize the most complex and advanced trauma cases—and if needed, arrange for immediate transportation to a higher-level trauma facility such as St. Charles Medical Center-Bend. Mountain View Hospital has been recognized as having the fastest “door to transport” time in the state. Thanks to our ED team’s quick assessment of complex trauma needs, and early notification to in-taking medical centers, our highly trained experts are able to initiate patient care quickly, saving lives.
Dr. Leo Savage
Dr. Savage earned his medical degree at University of Washington and is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and American Board of Emergency Medicine. He recently moved to Madras from Camas Washington where he practiced Emergency Medicine at Southwest Washington Medical Center and will now serve as the Mountain View ’s ER Medical Director. Together with his wife, Susan, and two children, Dr. Savage enjoys golfing, fishing, camping and outdoor sports.
Dr. Leland “Bud” Beamer
Dr. Beamer earned his medical degree at the University of Iowa and is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. After 36 years as a Family Practice physician with the Madras Medical Group, he has joined Mountain View Hospital on a full-time basis. True to his nickname, “Bud”, Dr. Beamer describes himself as “a friendly face,” and enjoys interacting with others through church, school and community activities.
