Back to School Bash

Help make a difference during our “Back to School Bash.”  The upcoming school season can be a challenge for many low-income families.  It is estimated that 25% of local school children attend school with little or no school supplies.

The 2008 “Back to School Bash” hosted by Mountain View Hospital, helps provide new school supplies for elementary students in need throughout the Jefferson County area.  The summer campaign happens now through the end of August.   Drop off boxes will be located in Madras at Mountain View Hospital; 470 NE A Street, Madras Medical Group; 76 NE 12th Street, and Mountain View Medical & Surgical Associates; 480 NE A Street.

Community members are encouraged to donate new pencils, facial tissue, notebooks, pencil boxes, folders, erasers, paper, crayons, glue, scissors, and backpacks.  This year’s campaign will benefit students at the Culver, Madras , Metolius, and Warm Springs elementary schools.  Together, we can help erase the need!
