Ensuring Safe Maternity Care for Women and Newborns at Mountain View Hospital

For a birthing experience that is close to home, the Mountain View Hospital (MVH) Family Birthing Suites are geared to provide personalized, family-centered care, in a warm and friendly environment.  Striving to facilitate a safe and pleasant birthing experience for parents and their newborns, we are proud to announce that our Family Birthing Suites now feature a state-of-the-art 24-hour security system. 

The new system provides surveillance of visitors entering and exiting the birthing suites, as well as monitors located at the suite entrance and nurses station to signal the nurses of arriving guests.  Through the use of an intercom and video camera attached to the wall at the birthing suite entrance, visitors will be asked to identify themselves prior to accessing the suite.  Instructions regarding the new security system will be posted in English and Spanish near the Family Birthing Suite entrance guiding visitors through the process of entering and departing the suite.
