Mountain View Hospital Foundation CHIP Receives Grant

Madras , OR (July 1, 2008) The Mountain View Hospital Foundation CHIP is   pleased to announce that it has recently been named a recipient of a $10,000 Grant Award from the Bean Foundation.

The CHIP along with nurses from Culver and 509 J School Districts have identified a growing need for urgent and emergent dental care for underserved children residing in Jefferson County and the ESD service area.  “Working in conjunction with the local school districts has been a huge benefit to identifying healthcare and dental needs, and resources for our children,” notes Beth Ann Beamer, CHIP Coordinator.

The Bean Foundation is a local non-profit interested in enhancing the lives of Jefferson County children.  “This is only the beginning of the dental voucher program,” stated Beamer.  “Prevention for pregnant women, infants and young children is next.”

“We are very excited to receive the Bean Foundation grant,” said Jay Henry, CEO of Mountain View Hospital. “It helps illustrate Mountain View Hospital ’s ability to not only impact health and dental care for our local communities, but also how we are able to improve healthcare with the support of other organizations throughout Jefferson County .”
