New Emergency Department Physician Joins Hospital 

Mountain View Hospital has approached its local Emergency Department physicians with a plan to directly employ them, and no longer contract with a national physician placement firm.  Most hospitals use one of three models: employ physicians directly, contract with a third-party agency to provide physician staffing or use a physician-owned group. As Mountain View continues their efforts to recruit local physicians to provide excellent emergency care, another full-time Emergency Department physician was recently hired.

Mountain View Hospital is pleased to announce that Albert “Miles” Lilly, M.D., has joined Medical Director, Dr. Leo Savage, and Dr. Leland “Bud” Beamer of the hospital’s Emergency Department.   “We are pleased to have Dr. Lilly take on this permanent role at our hospital,” said Jay Henry, CEO from Mountain View .

“Dr. Lilly has built strong relationships with doctors, nurses, and patients which is an advantage as far as improving the patient experience in our Emergency Department,” said Henry.

Dr. Lilly is board-certified in emergency medicine. Most recently, he was an emergency physician at Tuba City Indian Medical Center where he served for the past three years.

Dr. Lilly received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature from Middlebury College , a medical degree from the Eastern Virginia Medical School and then completed his residency in emergency medicine at Summa Health System in Akron , Ohio in 2000.   “Dr. Lilly has a working knowledge of the hospital’s emergency services and that is a tremendous asset to the community,” said Dr. Leo Savage, Emergency Department Medical Director.

The Emergency Department at Mountain View Hospital is designated by the State of Oregon as a Level IV Trauma Center.  The MVH Emergency Department provides advanced trauma life support and is equipped to resuscitate and stabilize patients and arrange for their transfer to a higher-level trauma center if needed.
