MVH WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF QUALITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Mountain View Hospital (MVH) is pleased to announce the hiring of Kathy Morton, RN as the new Director of Quality and Risk Management. Kathy comes to MVH from Kennewick General Hospital in Kennewick, WA where she was Director of Quality, Case Management, Infection Control, and Risk Management. She has worked in Quality Management since 1991, traveling all over the United States and Puerto Rico. From 1982 to 1991, she worked as an RN in Philadelphia, PA..

Kathy says her personal philosophy towards healthcare focuses on patient care and advocacy. “I firmly believe that we as caregivers are crucial to people during the most vulnerable times in their lives. Patients and their families place their trust in us and that trust must be honored and kept. Although I no longer work at the patient’s bedside, I am still an active member of the team who is committed to keeping patients and their families safe during their time with us. I am so thrilled to be here at MVH where my philosophy is not only shared by everyone but is also completely evident in their daily practices and activities.”
