Our ‘Lavender Ladies’
Pioneer Memorial Hospital’s Auxiliary Lavender Ladies, with a membership of more than 25 active volunteers, donates over 2,000 hours of service each year to patients and visitors. Volunteers can be found operating the hospital Gift Shop, providing assistance to visitors, delivering flowers and mail, and providing administrative clerical services.
A Contribution of Time and Generosity
For more than a decade the PMH Auxiliary has contributed funding for scholarships to students in pursuit of careers in the medical field, with the hopes that students in our community may attend a college or university to study in a medical field and come back to Crook County to live and work. They have also purchased equipment such as a television with DVD/VCR, a wide-body wheelchair and a shower chair to help our care giving team give the best care to our community.
Pioneer Memorial Hospital is fortunate to have such a remarkable group of volunteers continue their
long-standing tradition of unflagging energy and generosity. Their efforts truly increase the friendliness and efficiency of hospital operations.
