June 27: World HIV Testing Day.   Crook County Health Department will perform HIV/AIDS screening tests on this day from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on a walk-in basis. Call 447-6165 for further information. Nearly one millions Americans are living with HIV, and more than 40 million people around the world are infected.   Estimates are that approximately 280,000 Americans are HIV-positive and do not know it.

June 27:   Circles of Care bereavement pot luck lunch meets in the Cascade Room, PMH Home Health wing, at 12 noon.  Light lunch of soup and rolls is served. Open to anyone in our community who has lost a loved one.  Call 447-2510 for more information.

Beginning of July:

Pioneer Memorial Hospital Hospice will start the next Volunteer Training.  Volunteers can bring warmth, friendship and understanding to patients and their families in so many ways.  For more information about volunteering to serve in the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Hospice program, call Brenda Wilson, volunteer coordinator at 447-2510.
