Pioneer Memorial Home Health to join St. Charles Home Health
Prineville, Ore. - The board of directors for Pioneer Memorial Hospital recently decided to combine the PMH Home Health program with the St. Charles Home Health program, effective Jan. 1, 2010. This change was made to ensure that the services of this important department will remain viable for the long term.
St. Charles Home Health is a strong and established program that, when combined with PMH Home Health, can effectively offer home care to the residents of Crook and Deschutes Counties in a seamless manner. The combined service will focus on process improvement, improved expense management and will allow us to streamline work flow.
The board action approved the sale of the assets, such as computers, of PMH Home Health to Cascade Healthcare Community. Once the transition is complete, the PMH Home Health administrative offices will be combined with St Charles' office in Bend. Nurses that work in Prineville will have a drop in office in order to get supplies and use office equipment as necessary.
The decision to combine PMH and St. Charles Home health will not affect PMH Hospice, which will remain as a separate entity.
