For a birthing experience that is as close to home as you can get, the PMH Family Birthing Center is gear ed to provide personalized, family-centered care and a warm environment, with state-of-the-art obstetrical care. We strive to facilitate a safe and pleasant birthing experience for parents and their newborns.
Childbirth Close to Home
The Family Birthing Center's Labor Delivery Recovery rooms (LDRP) are designed so that childbirth can take place in a comfortable setting with the latest in modern technology. Each of our three spacious suites provide:
- Warm cozy furnishings
- A comfortable birthing bed
- A recliner chair
- Jacuzzi tub for mom's comfort
- Electronic monitoring equipment for a safe delivery
Physicians, Nursing Caregivers & Families
Nursery Care and the Operating Room are just steps away and each physician who provides obstetric care lives and works locally. Our highly trained nursing caregivers strive to make your birthing experience as wonderful as possible. Our staff provides the attention and personal care you need to feel right at home, and families are always welcome.
We offer Prepared Childbirth Classes on an on-going basis, which are free if you plan to deliver at PMH. These classes are taught by Penny Winterburn, RN, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (at center in the photo below with our OB nursing team.)
