Patient Satisfaction Reports

The patient satisfaction results include questionnaires completed by patients during October, November and December of 2007. CHC contracts with Press Ganey and Associates, the nation's largest healthcare survey firm, to conduct regular satisfaction surveying of all CHC's patient services.  Two scoring methods are used to analyze the satisfaction of our patients:

Mean Scores:

The arithmetic average of our patients' satisfaction ratings on a Likert scale of 0 (very poor) to 100 (very good).

Percentile Rankings:

How we performed relative to other hospitals in the Press Ganey database (over 1,200 hospitals); how our patient satisfaction mean scores compare to other hospitals' patient satisfaction mean scores (benchmarking).

Note: March 28th, 2008 marks the release of "Wave 1 Hospitals" satisfaction scores for the general public to view and compare using identical survey questions across the country. These scores can be viewed on the U.S. Government website: www.HospitalCompare.hhs.gov. The scores for St. Charles Medial Center-Bend and St. Charles Medical Center-Redmond hospital scores will be posted on this site in "wave 2" at the end of June. In keeping with CHC's commitment to transparency, CHC is making available to our community a "pre-release" view of our hospital patient satisfaction scores that will be posted in June. The format will likely be different on the final government website, but the content will be similar.
