Medical-Surgical Unit

The Redmond Medical-Surgical Unit cares for patients and families. The Unit opened in October 2006 with 18 beds on the 3rd floor of the new patient tower and less than a year later a 12 bed unit was added on the 2nd floor.

Designed to Promote Healing

The design of the Medical-Surgical Unit is non-institutional to fulfill the goal of providing care in a home-like atmosphere and to conserve the energy of the caregivers by locating all support needed to provide care close to the bedside.

The large patient rooms provide patients and family with space for equipment, a daybed and small reading/computer table. The large windows in each of the patient’s rooms have beautiful views facing east or west to provide a natural source for scenery and promote healing.

Providing a Full Range of Services

The unit treats a variety of medical/surgical patients including:

  • orthopedics
  • general surgery
  • medical
  • pediatric
  • short stay patients
  • remotely monitored step-down telemetry patients

Our Care Team

The unit utilizes RN’s, LPN’s and CNAs to provide a healing environment and high level of care. We strive to provide a collaborative environment that promotes the recruitment, retention and growth of caregivers. Evidence-based standards of care provide nursing with guidelines for best practice.
