Volunteer Services

St. Charles Bend offers many rewarding opportunities for volunteers ages 16 and older. Volunteers typically contribute three or more hours a week, although more flexible positions are also available. The partnership of caring volunteers and dedicated staff helps us meet both the medical and emotional needs of patients.

Volunteer Opportunities at St. Charles Foundation

Volunteers also are needed to help our Foundation reach its goals of providing funding and support to St. Charles programs and services in Bend and Redmond. The Foundation is always seeking talented, energetic volunteers to help with our fundraising events and numerous projects throughout the year.

Serving on a special events committee provides an opportunity to meet new friends, work on fun projects and raise money for a worthy cause. For more information about volunteer needs at the Foundation, please call (541) 383-6996.

Other ways to give your time through the Foundation:

The Intern for a Day Program provides Foundation donors a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of a hospital. Participants in the one-day program receive an in-depth tour of St. Charles Bend or St. Charles Redmond and have the opportunity to learn about the services offered at the hospitals, ask questions, observe caregivers at work and hear stories of medical accomplishments. Participation in the Intern for a Day Program is by invitation.

The Ambassadors Circle is an advocacy and advisory group made up of past Foundation board members and Central Oregon residents who are interested in health care issues. Ambassadors learn about hospital programs, strategic direction and issues. They provide important feedback to our Foundation board. Membership in the Ambassadors Circle is by invitation.

The St. Charles Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers from the community, including business leaders, physicians and community leaders who are responsible for fundraising, advocacy and governance. Membership on the board of directors is by invitation.
